CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHY

Corneal topography is a non-invasive test through which it is possible to obtain a map of the corneal curvature, using an instrument called a corneal topographer. The data is acquired in a few minutes by the operator. This data is then processed and translated into a colorimetric map by special software. Corneal topography is a screening test useful for everyone, in particular it is indicated for those suffering from keratoconus and for those who must undergo refractive surgery or who have already undergone laser surgery.

LAC CONTROL

It is the first session or the first set of sessions in which investigations and evaluations are carried out to evaluate the possibility of applying lac (suitability) and, if necessary, to choose the best type of lac and management (use, maintenance...) that allows individual needs to be met.

Corneal pachymetry is a test that allows you to measure the thickness of the cornea. It allows us to very precisely measure the anteroposterior length of the eyeball and other structures of the eye.

CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHY FOR LAC

It is useful for studying the effects of contact lenses on the cornea and for constructing the lenses themselves. Useful for identifying the curvature of the most suitable "disposable" and prescription contact lenses and for the design of any other type of special contact lens, since it provides information and data with maximum detail and great precision.

PUPILLOMETRY

Pupillometry is the test for measuring the size (static pupillometry) and movements of the pupil (dynamic pupillometry), of fundamental importance in laser treatments of refractive surgery.

SCHIRMER TEST

The Schirmer test allows the measurement of the tear secretion of our eyes. It is one of the most used tests to identify dry eye syndrome; it is not a painful nor invasive test. The Schirmer test is used to understand if there is a disorder linked to the quantity of tears produced, which causes hypohydration of the eyeball or dyslacrimia (excessive tear evaporation)

BUT TEST

The BUT test: is the study of tear film breakup, which gives an indication of the quality of the tear film and the permanence of the tears on the eye. It is a test that is also used for those who use contact lenses.
