was founded in Musso, a small town on Lake Como, in 1919 by Cavalier Vitaliano Salice. A small workshop produced eyeglass cases, a prestigious accessory for the time, and, a few years later, protective eyewear for work.
Relocated to Gravedona, a few kilometers from its birthplace, in 1945, at the end of World War II, the company began producing protective eyewear for motorcyclists. With the outbreak of the economic boom, Salice intensified its production by introducing sunglasses, a new, sophisticated, and, above all, contemporary accessory.
